Cattle wash racks take a beating. Water, manure, constant foot traffic from animals that can weigh over a thousand pounds - bare concrete just doesn't hold up well in that environment. It gets slippery fast, it's hard on hooves, and it's a pain to keep clean. That's the exact problem we were brought in to solve here.

Starting with raw concrete, we came in and laid HoofGrip rubber flooring wall to wall across the entire wash rack. HoofGrip is built specifically for livestock spaces. The texture gives animals solid footing even when the floor is wet, which matters a lot in a wash rack where the floor is almost always wet.

The drain cutout stays fully accessible through the rubber flooring, so water and waste move out of the space the way they're supposed to. That's an important detail - a floor that fights drainage just creates more work at cleanup time. This one doesn't.

What we ended up with is a surface that's safer for the cattle, easier on the people working in there, and more durable long-term than bare concrete alone. HoofGrip holds up to heavy use and cleans up quickly, which is exactly what you need in a space that gets worked every single day.

If you've got a livestock facility with concrete floors that aren't cutting it - wash racks, handling areas, barn alleys - this is worth a serious look. The difference between a slick concrete floor and a proper rubber surface is night and day for both animal safety and day-to-day functionality.
