Most garage floors take a beating. Oil drips, road grime, foot traffic, heavy vehicles rolling in and out - bare concrete just wasn't built to hold up to all of that long-term. That's exactly the kind of space this job was designed for.

We went with a Domino flake system here - epoxy base coat followed by a full broadcast of decorative flakes, then finished with a double layer of polyaspartic top coat. That top coat is the real workhorse. Polyaspartic is harder and more UV-stable than standard epoxy, so it won't yellow or dull out over time. Two coats of it means the surface is built to handle serious wear without flinching.

The steps got the same treatment as the floor - same flake blend, same system. That's not always how it goes, but doing it right means the whole space ties together. The flake texture on the treads also adds natural grip, which matters on a staircase that gets used regularly.

What we ended up with is a 2-stall garage and full staircase that looks sharp and is genuinely built to last. The Domino blend gives it that clean, polished look without being fussy. It's the kind of floor that's easy to sweep, easy to hose down, and doesn't show every little scuff.
