1-Stall Garage Gets a Coyote Flake Floor Upgrade

Here's what we were working with - a single-stall garage floor with stained, worn-out bare concrete. The kind of floor that just quietly gets worse every year. Oil spots, discoloration, and a surface that's nearly impossible to clean no matter how much you scrub.

We went with a coyote flake finish on this one. It's a neutral, speckled blend that works really well in smaller spaces - it adds a lot of visual texture without feeling busy. The system starts with a solid epoxy base coat, flakes are broadcast across the full surface, and then a polyaspartic top coat seals everything in. That top coat is what makes the floor genuinely tough. It resists UV, holds up against tire marks and chemicals, and it wipes clean easily.

What a lot of people don't realize is that size doesn't limit the quality of the finished product. A single-stall garage gets the exact same system and attention as a three-car floor. The cove base detail running along the perimeter walls is a good example of that - it gives the whole floor a clean, finished look that goes wall-to-wall instead of just stopping at the edge.
